Mission

At The Purple Tree, our mission is to provide trauma-informed, relational therapy that helps individuals heal from shame, break free from compulsive patterns, and rebuild their lives around truth, connection, and inner strength. Through evidence-based care and deep emotional work, we create space for healing that is grounded, compassionate, and transformative.

Core Values
  • Compassion over judgment

We meet clients with warmth, dignity, and nonjudgmental care especially around shame, intimacy, and trauma.

  • Trauma-informed care

We understand how early experiences shape emotional patterns, and we create a safe space where healing can take root.

  • Emotional honesty and authenticity

We value truth-telling, vulnerability, and the courage it takes to be seen as you are.

  • Clinical integrity

Our work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, offering care that’s both effective and personalized.

  • Connection as the path to healing

We believe transformation happens in relationship with self, with others, and within the therapeutic space.

  • Wholeness over perfection

Healing isn’t about fixing what’s wrong; it’s about returning to yourself, restoring what’s been lost, and growing into the truth of who you are.

Modalities

  Personalized & Integrative Care

At The Purple Tree, our therapeutic approach is both integrative and deeply personalized. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities, including EMDR, DBT, CBT, Schema Therapy, EFT Tapping, and somatic-based approaches while weaving in relational and attachment-focused work.

More Than Techniques—Pathways to Healing

These tools are more than techniques; they’re pathways to helping clients reconnect with themselves, process trauma at the root, and build new patterns rooted in safety, emotional regulation, and self-trust.

   Tailored to Your Journey

Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither is therapy. Sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of the individuals and families I work with, grounding every step in care that is intentional, trauma-informed, and attuned.

Our Story

At The Purple Tree, therapy is more than symptom relief. It’s a trauma-informed, collaborative process that helps you uncover the roots of long-standing patterns, reconnect with yourself, and move toward change that feels both aligned and lasting.

Whether you’re navigating the impact of trauma, caught in compulsive cycles, or carrying shame that shapes how you show up in your daily life, this is a space to do the deeper work in a way that feels manageable and on terms that are right for you.

Founded by Jessica Murff, LPCC-S, NCC, CSAT, CMAT, C-DBT The Purple Tree LLC was created to support those carrying what’s been too heavy to name, stuck in patterns that no longer serve them, and seeking a path forward that feels safe, attuned, and sustainable.
